    In 50 years' time, the Earth will have run out of phosphorus, the main component of artificial fertilisers. Scientists from the University of Warmia and Mazury have developed a method for recovering phosphorus from wastewater and they are testing it on tomatoes.

    Our graduate with an award for young scientists

    Dr. Karolina Nowak, a graduate of environmental protection at the Faculty of Environmental Management and Agriculture of the University of Warmia and Mazury (2004), currently a post-doctoral student at the Faculty of Geobiotechnology at the Technical University of Berlin, has received the LRI Innovative Science award of EUR 100,000.

    Strategic studies. How to anticipate threats

    The Institute of History and International Relations at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) has launched interdisciplinary cthis academic year. It is the first course of its kind in Poland focusing on educating leaders and specialists needed, for example, in the uniformed services and international organizations.

    Prof. Ryszard Górecki was re-elected as the Rector of the University of Warmia and Mazury to fulfil this function in the 2016-2020 term of office. The electoral college also elected vice-rectors.
